Little girl, why do you have grenade in your hand?

I thought this was a powerful one and coincidentally, so did someone else as I was taking the shot. I ended up having a good conversation with this man about the meaning of the one. We talked of innocence, puppeteer-ing, war and greed in a good 10 minute conversation. I've been trying to get a shot of this one for a while and finally got it. Rain had been getting in the way.

Obama walks his dogs

This one is an interesting piece where they are several tags. One of Obama with his infamous pose. The other of him walking two vicious dogs. Curious of the meaning. I was thinking of it being authoritative where it establishes, "don't mess with it." Funny enough, he's casually talking on his cell phone.
The other figure is another OBEY tag, holding a sign saying, "The Park: My new home. Thanks Mayor Fenty." I've seen this one a couple of times. Actually, this was the one that got sprayed over as mentioned in my previous blog posts.
The last piece, which appears to mounted rather than sprayed or sticked, is of a woman holding a hammer and sickle. Kinda interesting as it seems to touch on a couple of aspects. One, possibly on religion as what I would consider are construction works are erecting a cross. The second is the hinting of scaffolding and buildings, to me and maybe cause I'm an architect, depicts construction...development.

"ANDRE THE GIANT HAS A POSSE"

I find out that the poster is actually of Andre the Giant. Who would have figured? Curious if people know and it was just me who didn't. I find out through one of my buddies when we were hanging out drinking. I fished up the image from my camera and told me who he is. Reading up, it was a street art campaign started by Shepard Fairey where this poster (i guessed called "OBEY") and another graphic have posted around the world.
